KMITL

K-EES is the Engineering Extension School of KMITL. It gives high-school students, undergraduates and working engineers a way to study genuine engineering courses, earn credit that counts towards a degree, and keep learning long after graduation.

01Who we are

  • K-EES is the Engineering Extension School of the School of Engineering, KMITL, in Ladkrabang, Bangkok.
  • We design and deliver short and long-form programs that build STEM skills for students, professionals and industry.
  • Accredited by the Council of Engineers as a Continuing Professional Development Network Organization since December 2023.

02Pre-Engineering School

  • Open to Mathayom 4–6 students on the Science–Mathematics track, or the equivalent.
  • Study genuine KMITL engineering subjects and collect the credits in a credit bank while still at school.
  • Those credits transfer into your degree once you enrol at the School of Engineering, KMITL.
  • Completing the program qualifies you for a special Pathway quota in TCAS rounds 1 and 2.

03How the learning works

  • Courses run on the K-EES e-learning platform, so a classroom in Ladkrabang reaches students anywhere in Thailand.
  • Taught and assessed by the KMITL faculty who teach the undergraduate courses, to the same syllabus and the same standard.
  • Enrol course by course or as a full program, and activate an enrolled course whenever you are ready for it.

04Beyond the pre-degree

  • AP Program and AP Test for students seeking internationally recognised advanced placement.
  • Professional technical skills, minor programs and double-degree routes for university students.
  • Work-Integrated Learning and professional development training for people already working in industry.
  • Teacher training and workshops for partner schools building pre-engineering tracks of their own.

05Built with industry

  • Engineers from partner companies teach as guest lecturers and serve on the Industry Advisory Board.
  • Industry sets the capstone project briefs and hosts internships and co-operative education placements.
  • Partners fund smart laboratories, donate equipment and support scholarships for outstanding students.

About K-EES

Our Mission

To make engineering education reachable earlier, available more widely and open for longer than a single degree allows, so that anyone with the ability to build has a way in.

Our Vision

An engineering school without a single front door, where a Mathayom student, an undergraduate and a practising engineer are all learning on the same day.
